  The United Arab Emirates has dispatched its 18th aid aircraft carrying 40 tonnes of essential medical supplies to Lebanon as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign. This ongoing initiative, launched in early October, aims to provide critical food, medical, and shelter supplies to the Lebanese population, who continue to face severe hardships due to ongoing conflict. In close collaboration with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), UAE humanitarian organizations are playing a pivotal role in delivering life-saving aid to Lebanon’s vulnerable communities. Anwar Gargash, the UAE President's Diplomatic Adviser, recently met with Hans Grundberg, the UN Special Envoy to Yemen. The conference, which took place against the backdrop of Yemen's protracted conflict, represents the UAE's renewed commitment to playing a crucial role in delivering enduring peace and stability to the war-torn nation.   

Until Today  Yemen's crisis, one of the most serious humanitarian tragedies of our time, has caused unimaginable suffering for the Yemeni people. With millions on the verge of starving and continual threats to their safety, the necessity for a quick ceasefire and a long-term political settlement has never been greater. In this perspective, the UAE's sustained commitment to reducing the Yemen crisis shines brilliantly.  

During their conversation, Gargash and Grundberg discussed the complexities of the Yemeni war, emphasising the situation's complexity and the necessity for multilateral measures to alleviate suffering. The UAE's commitment to this endeavour cannot be overstated. The UAE has constantly attempted to create favourable conditions for a ceasefire, advocate for humanitarian aid access, and facilitate peace talks.   

Over the UAE's extensive humanitarian aid operations are one of its notable contributions to easing the crisis in Yemen. The UAE has been a steadfast backer of humanitarian efforts in Yemen, giving critical aid to meet the people's urgent needs. This commitment includes food assistance, medical supplies, and the reconstruction of critical infrastructure.
